Spend a private, fully customisable day with Mount Fuji. Travel from Tokyo in a comfortable private vehicle and build the day around the best views and the clearest weather — the Subaru Line Fifth Station at 2,300 m when the road is open, and the lakes, shrines and pagoda viewpoints of the Fuji Five Lakes when it isn’t.

Your guide-driver watches the forecast and adjusts the route on the day so you get the best possible chance of a clear summit.

A day on this tour

Everything is private, so the timings flex to your pace and the weather. A typical run of the day:

  1. 08:00

    Hotel pick-up in Tokyo

Leave the city for the Fuji Five Lakes — about two hours by expressway.

The Tokyo cityscape stretching to the horizon
  2. 10:00

Fifth Station or the best lakeside view

When the Subaru Line is open we drive up to 2,300 m for views above the treeline. When it isn't, we head straight for the clearest vantage point of the day.

Good to know

Will we actually see the summit?

Fuji is shy — clear roughly half the time, and clearest in the colder months. Your guide checks the forecast that morning and picks the route with the best odds.

Where do you pick us up?

From the lobby of your hotel anywhere in central Tokyo, at a time we agree in advance. Staying further out? Tell us and we'll confirm the pick-up.

Can we change the itinerary?

Yes — the tour is private. Tell your guide-driver what matters most to you and they'll shape the day around it, adding or dropping stops as you go.

What happens if the weather is bad?

The tour runs in almost all weather. Only conditions that make a mountain road genuinely unsafe would change the route, and your guide will always find a good alternative.

How and when do we pay?

You pay a 20% deposit when you book — by card or bank transfer — and that secures your date. The remaining 80% is settled with your guide on the tour day, cash or card. Free cancellation up to 24 hours before.
